About the Obvious

Someone recently wrote that an undeveloped About Me page is a sure sign of a newbie blogger. So let’s see what I can do about that.

First of all - I am a newbie blogger. I only started this thing in the fall of 2007, and seeing as it’s now January 2008, this is pretty much still a baby blog. Also on that topic - this is the first time I’ve written anything public in English, which is not my first language.

My name is Ollka, that’s a much preferred alternative to Olga. I live in Lithuania, my university major is Polish. I sing along to music when nobody is around, and mime guitar riffs. I hang out online way too much. You recognize me - I’m that geek.

I am female, in case you couldn’t tell by my name. I’m married to a guy made of gold. Well, I’m kidding, but just barely, he is seriously almost perfect. On this blog he’s referred to as ‘A.’ to leave him a bit of Internet privacy - and I dare you to laugh.

I recently got braces (yeah, I’m 21). That gave me another reason to whine about, although I do have a no-whining policy on this blog. But it’s not strict enough, you’ll see me breaking it. By all means, call me on it, who knows, that might make me stop.

I’m extremely ambitious and therefore very hard on myself. So every time I post something here - it’s like a test. Do help me feel better by commenting and letting me know you stopped by. Who knows - you might make a new exotic Lithuanian friend!
